The Simpsons Road Rage released in 2001 around the time of two major console launches (the Nintendo
Gamecube and Microsoft Xbox) to critical and commercial success. In the game, Mr. Burns has
purchased Springfield's Bus Transit system and replaced it with his own high-priced and highly
radioactive buses. The citizens of Springfield create an underground movement to serve the
community as taxi drivers and naturally make some money on the side, all with the goal of
earning the 1 million dollars needed to purchase the Bus Transit system from Mr. Burns.
The Gameboy Advance version of Simpsons Road Rage released in the summer of 2003, featuring
all the same characters and objectives but graphics specifically designed for the small
GBA platform.
